I heard that when you have an artifact or movement in a question ( C or R ) , that question should be repeated , however some people says you have to run a new entire chart. Any comments ?pal_karcsi IP: Logged |

Some technique rules don't even require a repeat. They just zero the artifact and use what's left. I think this falls more into that "dogma" category than anything, so any opinions we have may not even be accurate. I recently looked at some single issue tests (lab data) and found that if I dropped the last CQ and RQ from all three charts (C3 and R3), nothing changed as far as decisions go. That means I had six presentations of the relevant issue instead of nine, bit got the same results. That would argue against having to run the question again in the chart, let alone the chart. I think I got the same results with three CQs and a dropping of only R3, but I don't remember off the top of my head. (R3 was fine. I was just seeing what would happen for research purposes.) Barry , good answer. I made the same, I zeroing all the artifact questions and have the same results. Also, used the OSS-3 for single issue and have the same result (DI). Thanks for your insight.IP: Logged |

I think after you zero an arifact or two, if your hand score is inconclusive, you might want to run another chart to see if you can resolve the inconclusive.Otherwise just zero the artifact and move on. If you decide that repeating the question within a chart is what you should do, you should consider repeating both a CQ and an RQ to create a complete scoring spot for comparison. But again as long as you have sufficient criteria to reach a conclusion one way or the other, repitition isn't necessary.
